It has been several hours sense the pair have been roaming the new location to hunt for pokemon. His mind filled with the different pokemon he wanted. But, a shadowy figured disrupted his train of thought. At first, Maverick wasn’t sure what he was seeing in the distance. It was a taller figure, something standing on two legs. He squinted, waiting if he was looking his mind and was seeing mirages now. He looked to his canine, still unaware of the shadowy figure before them. Yep, he was seeing things. The man sighed, wondering if maybe he should take a vacation or something.[break][break]

However, the figure suddenly spotted them. Its head turned to face them, forcing the man to freeze. Azula turned to her trainer, unsure what was going on until she looked in his direction. Lips peeled back to revealed her pearly whites, a low dark snarl ripped through her throat. The creature response through Maverick off as it darted out of sight, disappearing in the matter of seconds. Mav blinked, still puzzled what it was. Was it a ghost hunting him? Several minutes went by and still, no sign of the shadowy figure. “Guess we keep moving then,” the man told the canine, shoulder shrugged. With that the pair moved on, looking for something to catch today.

It wasn’t long before a thick haze started to come from no where. It blanked the area in the matter of seconds, a chill ran down the man spine. “What the hell?” He mumbled, suddenly feeling on edge, “What is going on now?” The haze only got thicker every passing second. Soon, the man could barely see his beveled canine who was right next. A ferocious snarl made the man almost jump out of his skin, turning to face whatever got Azula an edge.[break][break]

To his surprised, a lament was right behind him inches from his face. He took a few steps back, holding in a girly manly scream. “Fuck,” he cursed, stumbling back a little, “Shit you scared the hell out of me.” The fire and ghost type snickered as it vanished into the haze. Warm gaze flickered, head whipped around to try to find it again. But after a few minutes, the haze cleared and the wild pokemon was no where to be find. “Well then,” Maverick coughed, motion to the houndoom, “Let’s keep going. This place is giving me the creeps.”

The sun was about to set along the horizon as the man let out a long over dramatic yawn. The trainer and his pokemon have been out on route 111 all day trying to find something good to catch. His arm gazed flickered to Azula, seeing the fatigue in her eyes when she met his. With such an old start to the day, Maverick would have thought that it would have been more exciting. But as the man glanced down at his clock and big bold numbers flashed a quieter pass eight, he knew that their time was up. If he wanted to start again in the morning, he could but needed some sleep. But before the man could tell the canine, his gaze fell upon something behind her.[break][break]

And to his surprised, it was a creature he actually needed. The little rex like Dino pokemon took in a deep breath, lung expanded as it tried to let out a might roar. The roar wasn’t up to snuff but did certainly startled Azula as she whipped around to face the foe. Lips peeled back as she when on defense mode, ready to rip whatever it was into pieces. She let lose a flamethrower, pushing the creature back a little before she stopped. “Easy girl,” the man frantically tried cooling off his fiery fire type, patting her shoulder blade firmly, “Don’t barbecue the thing?” The canine snorted, steam rolled out of her nostrils.[break][break]

Strolling up to the pokemon, he bent over to check on it as it laid motionless. “Are you okay?” He asked the creature, tapping its leg. It kicked back but didn’t move. Trying not to smile, the man reached into his pockets and pulled out the common two toned ball. With a tap on the creatures head, the ball open and sucked the creature in before it locked in place. His gaze fell upon the ball, hoping it was knocked out enough for the ball to keep it as he stood up. His mind started to race, trying to think of a name for it already. It was funny actually. The names they give their pokemon were kind of like codenames. “Well… shirts off to you if we did catch it,” he mumbled to his canine as she let out a low grunt, sitting next to her trainer before letting a yawn come to her, “We will head out as soon as this ball confirms the capture.”
